Bio
Genevieve has been dancing in one form or another ever since she was a little girl. In 2002 she took her first bellydance class. In 2003 she discovered group improv in the form of tribal style bellydance and immediately felt as though she'd come home. Mesmerized by the graceful strength and fluid movement these strong, colorful, adorned tribes of women displayed with such confidence and joy, she sought out as many classes and workshops as she could, becoming fortunate enough to study with many great instructors and innovators of the dance form. In the fall of 2004 she auditioned for the Seattle based troupe inFusion Tribal Belly Dance under the direction of Sharon Moore and Renee Drellishak and performed professionally with them until the group disbanded in 2010, going on to become a founding member of the North Seattle based troupe, Samaya Tribe, who currently enjoys performing and sharing the beauty that is tribal style bellydance with audiences all around the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
